"Problems are only opportunities in work clothes". - Henry J. Kaiser.
Hmm! Problems! Nobody likes them, but everybody has them because the world is filled with them. There are as many descriptions to this thing calling problems as there are people. The English Language gives us a descriptive glimpse of the world of problems by giving us various shades of meanings.
According to the Roget Thesaurus of English words and phrases, a problem is a challenge, a difficulty, an inconvenience, a puzzle, an obstacle, an enigma, an embarrassment, a situation, an impossibility, a temptation, a tribulation, a headache, a handicap, a test, a burden, a complication, a crises, a tough assignment. The list goes on and on.
But why is the world full of problems? I know somebody out there is hoping that a wind would blow and clear all our difficulties away. Has it ever occurred to you that problems are necessary in this life?
Without challenges, how can we distinguish and separate winners from losers, champions from failures, players from spectators, achievers from non-achievers, or between victors from victims. I now understand why Epictetus said "it is a difficulties which show what men are."
Where will be the place of dreamers, inventors, and professionals in a world questions and answers?
Imagine a world without planes, cars, telephones, shoes, umbrellas, schools, tooth brush, electricity, sewing machines, torch lights and lot more.
What will six billion people be doing in a world that is empty of explorers, inventors thinkers, and professionals in various fields?
Have you ever thought of a world that has no exams to write or puzzles to solve? Or a world with no entertainers and singers? I am just wondering, would you prefer a world without a bed, clothing to wear, good roads and electricity?
Without obstacles, there will be no creativity and no transformation. There will be no need of having this miracle computer called the mind. Don't mourn your problems, solve them. That's one reason why you have a mind.
The world does not mind people who has no minds. Those who have a mind will always think of a way out. Rather than see problems as limitations and obstacles, they see them as opportunities. A world without problems is a graveyard, and most people don't want to live there. Problems are signs of life.
Heaven is a place without problems because all the answers are in God. He placed us here so we could find the answers.
